Description

CCMT CARBIDE TURNING INSERTS

CCMT carbide turning inserts are high-precision, positive rake, single-sided cutting tools designed for finishing and semi-finishing operations on CNC lathes and conventional machines.
They feature an 80° diamond (rhomboid) shape with a 7° clearance angle, providing smooth cutting action, excellent surface finish, and reduced cutting forces.
Made from premium carbide substrates and advanced coatings (PVD, CVD, TiN, TiCN, TiAlN), CCMT inserts deliver excellent wear resistance and long tool life.

KEY FEATURES:

✔Shape: 80° diamond (rhomboid)
✔Relief Angle: 7° positive geometry
✔Cutting Edge: Single-sided (4 cutting edges total)
✔Mounting: Screw-on clamping
✔Coatings: PVD, CVD, TiN, TiCN, TiAlN – depending on the application
✔Application Type: Finishing and semi-finishing

APPLICATIONS

CCMT Carbide Inserts are commonly used for precision turning operations in various industries such as automotive, aerospace, machinery manufacturing, and mold & die production.
They are suitable for a wide range of workpiece materials, especially where smooth cutting and excellent surface quality are required.

TYPICAL MATERIALS:

• Carbon and alloy steels – for semi-finishing and finishing
• Stainless steels – stable performance with reduced built-up edge
• Cast iron – suitable for grey and nodular cast iron
• Non-ferrous metals – such as aluminum, copper, and brass (when using sharp-edged, polished chipbreakers)
• Heat-resistant alloys – light finishing operations on Inconel, Hastelloy, etc.

COMMON OPERATIONS:

• Precision turning and facing
• Profiling and contouring
• Finishing passes
• Light semi-finishing operations

ADVANTAGES & PERFORMANCE:

• Smooth cutting and low cutting force: Ideal for fine finishing and light cuts
• Excellent surface finish: Positive rake geometry ensures smooth material removal
• High accuracy: Tight tolerance control for consistent dimensional precision
• Long tool life: Carbide substrate with advanced coating technology resists wear and heat
• Versatility: Can be used on a wide range of materials and CNC lathes
